The brand’s history dates back five generations to its beginnings with a single graphite mine in 1930. Despite many hurdles the journey of mining continued throughout the five generations across different regions of Africa and Asia. Currently the gemstone mining operations are still being carried out in Sri Lanka which is also known as “Ratnadeepa” Land of Gems.

 This experience in the industry lead to the family’s collective decision of embarking the journey of forming ZEIN in the UAE to bring the beauty of colored stones to the world in the form of jewels.
